The Creators: 

• Jennifer L. Hodge is a 20-year-old student from Spartanburg, South Carolina 
• Alaina Holroyd is a 21-year-old student from Greenville, South Carolina. 
• The two students go to Bauder College in Atlanta, Georgia and study the field of fashion and in 2000 will receive a degree in Fashion Merchandising.

The Idea:

• Hodge and Holroyd state they have had friends who have gone through months of pregnancy, and felt that women today needed a change in clothing and comfort. 
• Hodge and Holroyd worked for several months on the idea of helping their friends and other women of today have a much easier nine months. 
• Today, in Summer 1999, with all their thoughts, ambitions, and dedication a new product called, PMS (Pregnant Mother Suspenders) is finally developed.
